Ripper Points: Ripper points seem to be like our feet - all different sizes! To save hassles when ordering new points, lightly weld the point part number on the back of the tyne, or on the frame, to make it easy for anybody to re-order. Track Rollers: When ordering replacement rollers (especially if only replacing one or two on a side), it is very important to give us the approximate diameter of the remaining roller, so that the replacement roller can be supplied with a similar matching diameter. A new or larger diameter roller will, if fitted alongside smaller worn rollers, take a disproportionate amount of weight and probably overheat and fail.

Service Records: This could save you much frustration and thousands of dollars. Tilly's now have available an adhesive backed, soft aluminium service record plate that is weatherproof and can be easily secured onto your machine. It is set out to record the machine model and serial numbers, and the type and grade of oil used in various components and also to record filter numbers. This information is then readily available for the person ordering parts and servicing the machine. The serviceman can record the date and machine hours at the time of service with a ball point pen on the soft aluminium.
